Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival

After more than 50 years, the Barcelona Jazz Festival comes for a 51st edition. And like every year, we’re being amazed by the exhaustive selection of talented and world-renowned musicians that are joining this major music event from 19 October. For instance, the superstar Herbie Hancock will be performing among other world-class fellow musicians and some up-and-coming names full of talent.

This year’s programme includes again the De Cajón! Festival with the presence of some flamenco artists like Rafael Riqueni, Las Migas, el Tomatito and José Mercé, Farrucos y Fernández, Dúo del Mar and Estrella Morente.

Liceu Jam Session


The Barcelona Jazz festival has a lot more to offer. On Thursday from October 24 to December 12 at the Cafè del Conservatori del Liceu, make the most of the Liceu Jam Session. And good news, the entrance is free.

Jazz & Food in collaboration with Save The Children


Be ready for this 12-hours marathon of music, cuisine and solidarity on Saturday 28 September at the Moll de la Fusta.

For three years in a row, Jazz & Food opens the Barcelona Jazz festival. To accompany the music, more than 30 food trucks propose food from around the world. The event also promotes local gastronomy and music if you’re more looking for Catalan specialties.

Jazz & Food has been collaboration with charities for many years. For this 2019 edition, it will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Save The Children organisation which dedicates its efforts in protecting children worldwide. This celebration also coincides with the 150th anniversary of Barcelona Port.

How could you contribute too? By purchasing the solidarity and re-usable glass or getting tickets for the Barcelona Jazz festival.

Monvínic Experience


Accompanied by her guitarist Josep Traver, Andrea Motis will deliver a private music performance inspired by the wines selected by the Monvínic sommelier team. The emphasis is on young producers, wines and wineries with valuable expertise gained through rigorous oenology studies. They have generated interest for the last decade along Andrea Motis’s career as their careful and meticulous work intends to intervene as little as possible in the winery.

The event takes place on Tuesday 22 October at 08.00 PM. Tickets costs 85 €

Magic Fountain of Montjuic


The Magic Fountain once again will offer a mesmerising light and music show. The sensational music selection of Jordi Bonet will make the waterfalls and lakes of Montjuïc dance to the rhythm of jazz.

100 Master Classes


The Master Classes, hold at the Liceu Conservatory for many years, under the patronage of the Ferrer Salat Music Foundation, exceeds the 100th class.

This year, attendants will be taught by specialists like Richard Bona and Alfredo Domínguez, Dave Douglas and Uri Cane, Joe Lovano, Christian Scott, Martirio and Chano Domínguez and José Mercé who will share their precious skills.

Tickets cost 10€ but some discounts are available as follow:
